Starcraft 2 Footage Draws Eyes

New footage is being sent out to stir up the hornets nest of gamers waiting eagerly for the new game to be released. Starcraft 2 is the highly anticipated sequel of the extremely popular Starcraft and its expansion Starcraft: Brood Wars. The original Starcraft release has sold over nine million copies making it one of the most popular games of all time.

This video features a battle between Matt Cooper and David Kim playing Zerg and Terran respectively. Commentary is given allowing for some understanding of exactly what kind of tactics are available in the new game.

Based on this footage it would appear that they have added a lot of new units which could have a double-edged benefit of more options with a bit more of a learning curve. Blizzard has decided to keep the classic look and feel of Starcraft which allows die-hard classic fans to enjoy an environment they are used to. Starcraft 2 is nostalgia driven but does it have the chops to take the RTS world by storm yet again? Time will tell.
