Grand Theft Auto May Not Abandon the PSP

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown wars is headed for release on the Nintendo DS, but that does not phase the people behind the Sony PSP platform. MTV Multiplayer had an interview with John Koller, the head of PSP Hardware Marketing said:

“No one should sleep on that franchise. That’s a tremendous franchise for PlayStation in general. We’ve had two that are the top two sellers on PSP right now. So, there’s definitely continued conversations with ['GTA' development studio] Rockstar on all their brands. That’s nothing that’s left the PlayStation family.”

This interview has spawned a swarm of interest in the future of GTA on PSP, however it should be noted here that there is currently no Grant Theft Auto title announced for the Sony platform.
