World of Warcraft Guildmaster Wins Oscar Loot

Steve Preeg picked up an Oscar win last night for his work on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He is an accomplished visual effects artists that has worked on projects ranging from titles like Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, and others.

He also runs his own guild in the World of Warcraft. That’s right, when he’s not doing visual effects for epic blockbusters that stun and amaze audiences, he’s at home leading his guild to victory through the dangerous and epic World of Warcraft. According to WoW Insider, he plays a combat rogue with 450 Enchanting and Inception which is a pretty impressive draw. His guild has beaten just about everything in the game short of Sarth 3D. You can even spot him sporting his “Champion of the Frozen Wastes” title as leads his guild to adventure.

The next time someone tells you that playing online games will make you waste away your life, remind them that someone maybe even more involved than you are just took home some of the rarest loot in real life, an Oscar.
